Product Description Sapphire Radeon HD 4670 Video Card - Advantage Edition Advance to the next generation of gaming with incredible performance, life-like graphics and support for the latest Microsoft DirectX 10.1. With 320 stream processors and PCI Express 2.0 support, you're ready for the most demanding titles. And thanks to plug-and-play ATI CrossFireX upgradeability, it is easy to turbo-charge your 3D performance. The ATI Radeon HD 3800 Series GPU further enhances the HD entertainment experience by making it easy to make the connection to a big- screen or home theater system. With built-in 5.1 surround audio (AC3) pass-through capabilities, the new GPUs and graphics cards support a single HDMI connection direct to a compatible TV or receiver. TSapphire single cable carries both the HD video and 5.1 surround audio for a clean, high definition connection. Some graphics cards will have an HDMI connector built in, while others will use a special ATI Radeon DVI-I to HDMI adapter (optional on some models). These options mean greater choice and flexibility for consumers when connecting to PC monitors or home theaters for maximum enjoyment of full HD 1080p content.

Good Solid Choice December 31, 2008 This worked out really well for me, and Amazon did a nice job shipping same day and delivering the next, even with super saver.
Let me start with the fact that I haven't purchased a video card in 10 years, and I struggled with this item, and had a hard time deciding if it would be worth it to throw another $50 or so and get a little nicer card, but now that I have it, I am pleased with this choice for my 2 1/2 year old HP Pavilion.
My digital photo's look great, the color is amazing, and it plays Flight Sim X on max everything, photo realistic and it is very good, and plenty smooth, unlike when I tried to do the same thing with the onboard video that came with the computer. Previously, the game was nearly unplayable. I play call of duty with high resolution on a single monitor, and it is quite smooth and detailed. While it is not silent, it isn't overly loud either, and it comes with DVI to VGA, DVI to RBG, DVI to HDMI and S Video to RCA adapters all already in the box. (I needed the DVI to VGA part, as the monitor only has a blue VGA receptacle on it.)
I do not have much experience with gaming gear, but this was pretty straight forward to install and use quickly (one glitch with the included sound processing that required me to make a change in the bios file (to re-enable onboard audio) was the only hitch.)
All in all, If I were making this purchase again, I would purchase the very same card from Amazon again.
Great low power consumption graphics card December 29, 2008 This is the perfect graphics card for mid level computers with a small power supply (under 400 watts) that need a graphics upgrade. The 4670 series requires no secondary six pin adaptor to power it, only the power fueled by your PCIe rail. While it is not as powerful as its big brothers (HD4850, HD4870, HD4870X2) it will serve adequately for an 'average' computer set up. If you're looking for a good card for an HTPC, this is a really good choice because of its low power consumption, ability to handle HD content, and its relatively quiet fan. If you are upgrading for the purpose of better gaming performance, you really should spend more and at a minimum get an HD4850 for just a few dollars more, even if it does mean upgrading your power supply also.
Do not use the drivers that come on the install disk. Instead, go to ATIs web page and download their most recent drivers, as they update them monthly for better performance/bug fixes.
Pros:
1. No additional power connection necessary 2. Quiet fan 3. Good performance for video processing and light gaming 4. Very nice price point 5. ATI consistently upgrading drivers for all their cards.
Cons:
1. Cannot play newer games at better than 'low' settings 2. Crossfire option is worthless on this card since the cost of two of these cards is more than 1 card that will easily outperform a crossfire of two HD4670s. 3. No HDMI out, although you can use a DVI==>HDMI converter.
Conclusion: A good value, but not for serious gamers. Great for a HTPC.
Nice Midrange Card December 22, 2008 This is a nice card for those looking for good video performance without having to upgrade your power supply. There are far better cards for just a few bucks more, but all of those cards usually have higher power requirements. If your power supply is between 300-400 watts, then this cards might be the best bet for you. This card also runs the coolest for a 4670 chipset.
Excelent Graphic Card December 21, 2008 Well, for the price of this card, I really was expeacting less graphical power. This card plays in a great way games like PES 2009, GTA VI, Fallout 3, even Crysis not at max details, but looks and plays great! Temperature of GPU when playing is between 40 C and 46 C, w/o playing is always around 35 C. I really recomend this card to any beginner to intermediate gamer !
CHEAP+HIGH PERFORMANCE December 20, 2008 Dam, i couldnt affoard a new videocard because they were all expensive as hell then i found out about the HD 4670, this one ROCKS DUDE. It worked for me on vista 32bits and xp 32bits.
I have to say now i can play Combat Arms(max settings, AAx4) and COD4 MAX SETTINGS AS WELL!! OMG, also i can play Crysis and Left 4 Dead AND DEVIL MAY CRY 4 MAX SETTING RUNNING AROUND 50FPS O_O, before... with my Geforce 6150 SE i could not... not even in low settings.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! Just dont install the driver it brings, install the one on the manufacturer webpage(which is up to date, they updated it a few days ago and for what ive seen they do monthly updates or so).
