Boasting a European-style profile and a durable powder-coated black finish, the stands suspend your home theater speakers at the ideal listening height--from 28 to 42 inches depending on the height of your chairs or couch--letting you sit back and enjoy the full splendor of your surround sound system. Each stand also features a cast-iron base engineered for solid support, along with your choice of premium adjustable floor spikes or custom screw-in rubber feet to provide stability and minimum resonance on any floor surface. Meanwhile, the steel top plate includes custom speaker isolation pads to further enhance the sound quality. A further bonus stems from the stands' concealed wire path, which hides your speaker cable from view to improve the room's overall aesthetics. The stands fit most satellite speakers weighing 10 pounds or less. Some assembly is required, though it takes just a few minutes using a Phillips screwdriver. The stands are also backed by a five-year warranty. Easy set up......not for taller rear speakers January 8, 2009 I bought these stands for my rear speakers from the Yamaha YHT 590 package. The universal bracket was not tall enough to screw into the back of the speaker. I had to flatten another universal bracket that the stands came with, and bolt it to the other bracket to make it tall enough. It worked fine but I think Sanus should include taller brackets for taller speakers.
Overall good stand December 23, 2008 This was the only tall enough stand (under 50 bucks) that would hold a HTIB speakers from an Onkyo home theater (they are bulky). Need to use 3M tape on all for corners to hold speakers to plate (unless u want to drill). The only downside I can see is getting them level, but otherwise the stands look great, cord is hidden in the stand body, what else do you need.
good buy for the sale price December 23, 2008 I got these stand for half off when my order for the HTB3 stands was cancelled. Shipping was extremely fast (ordered friday received on Monday). These stands are really easy to put together and are very sturdy with a nice hidden wire feature. I am not impressed with the speaker mounting brackets. The "L" bracket is actually a little large for my Sony satellitte speakers but I was able to compensate with a large rubber washer. Overall I like the speaker stands, I just wouldn't pay the regular price for them.
They work... December 22, 2008 Was not sure what to expect. I read the reviews, mulled it over, then bought them. They seem to be well built, sturdy and have enough brackets to mount anything from a moose head to a thimble. In short, my Infinity surround speakers mounted up with no problems.
Over all, I am very pleased with them and have had no issues with them.
Pretty nice stands December 13, 2008 Easy to assemble, looks really nice when the speakers are on it. I have had these stands for quite a few months now and am absolutely pleased with them. They are pretty sturdy and adjust to be level fairly easily. If I needed to buy them again, I would.
I think others have mentioned before how its a good idea to feed the speaker wire up through it before you put it on the base or put the speaker on top, this is so true. The wires can be a pain in the rear to put up if the pole is on the base first, especially if they have banana plugs on the ends for easy insertion into the speaker. It might take a little, but be patient when running the cable up.
