 Learning Resources Time Tracker December 21, 2008
Learning Resources - Time Tracker Bought this not as a toy, but to provide visual timing information for members of a college class of 14 students in which the students had to give frequent presentations. The Time Tracker worked very well in this situation, the lights were bright and the sounds obnoxious enough to get attention. Instructions were quite clear, though the algorithm a bit odd. Will use it for other classes next year.
 Don't Lose the Instructions December 17, 2008
We had very high expectations for this great tool. Awesome idea and our three year old thought it was really neat. I think we would have loved it if it wasn't so complicated to set and/or reset the programs (we're relatively bright people - rarely have a complaint about complexity). We lost the instructions after a few weeks and really haven't used it since.

This is awesome! We have a daughter with sensory input issues. Her biggest issue is food/eating.. dinner is her biggest challenge! Before the timer arrived - we spent up to two hours at the dinner table encouraging her to even try something.. AH! This has been a dream come true.. Now she can see the time go by and has a much more tangible concept of how long she has to try something, before we move on with our evening.
There are many reviews (including from our daughter's teacher) that it is complicated to use. I expected such and geared up for the challenge. We were pleasantly surprised - as it's no more difficult to operate than working through a cell phone menu, etc..
The only bummer is that you can't save your settings.. but it is easy and quick to change a time if you need to..
We LOVE this item and are thrilled that amazon offers is 10 dollars less than all other places!! WOOHOO! THANK YOU!

Since I first started using this as a Time Out tool, my son was thrilled. He thought it was so neat the way it made sounds and changed colors. However, he did not want to use it for himself! It truly shows him the difference between a "4 minute time-out" and a "30 minutes until dinner is ready". His attitude has already started to change. As for my husband and I, our attitudes toward KEEPING him in time-out and being persistant with it has changed also. We used to get so frustrated trying to put him back and keep him there. Now, we just re-start the timer and wait until he is ready to obey. It is great!
AC Adapter for Timer December 3, 2008
I ordered these adapters from another source and was told they were no longer carried. I searched the web and found this site and they had the lowest price I had seen. I purchased 2 for the price of what it would have cost to order it out of a catalog. The adapters work great and are exactly what I was looking for. The shipping and billing were very simple and easy. The products arrived 2 days after I placed my order. Very NICE!!
