Awesome GPS January 8, 2009 I had been looking at this gps for months. Read the reviews, which all were average or below. I couldn't pass on the deal when it was offered at 100.00 off plus free map updates for 2 years. The cost of the map updates alone are 640.00 if you updated each quarter.
The gps works flawlessly. grabs the satelite signal with no problem, even inside the house. The re-route is super fast, no waiting for calculations. I used it during a snowstorm and never lost the signal at all. 3-d view is incredibly, if a neighborhood has a designated name, it will be displayed on the map. The lane indicator map and road signs displayed are right on the money. It will show a smaller version of the lane split miles before the actually split so you can prepare ahead of time, this without loosing the 3-d view. Speed limit is displayed and you can set limits for an alarm to sound if you are speeding.
This gps does so much more and is better than any other gps unit that I looked at or other people own that I know.
This is a steal is you can find it for the 159.00 I paid for it.
Glad I Got it January 8, 2009 They packed everything in the box you need except an instruction manual. As a senior citizen, I had to turn it over to my 8-year old grandson to show me how to set it up and operate. He aced it out in about five minutes, so I now use it on a daily basis.
Navigon 2100 Max January 8, 2009 I purchased this item as a replacement to one that was stolen and have been very pleased with its performance and features.
Easy to Use - Navigon 2100 Max January 7, 2009 I have only used this product a few times since I received it. However, I find that the operation is very easy (especially for a technically challenged person like me), directions on target, and very easy to install when needed. The web site is user friendly with downloads available, and notifications already being sent for upgrades, and current news. My overall experience has been very good, and I am completely satisfied with the product. Headed to Arizona for a cross country trip next week back to Georgia - will definately see how it works then!!! LOL
great, especially for price January 7, 2009 After researching the Navigon for a while I finally bought one for myself. This is my first true GPS, I hand a IPAQ with software from pharos gps, which worked great but I wanted an updated GPS with traffic and POI's with out the extra services Pharos required. Compared to my coworkers GPS, this system has more up to date maps, is more accurate at getting me to the door and the traffic updates seem to be better as well. I have been in three recent developments where a coworkers gps doesn't show the roads, but the navigon does. Another plus is the speed limit feature. I am not sure if other GPS's offer this or not, but with the unit on I find that I stay within 10 MPH of the speed limit much more often. Nice little reminder that your going a little too fast. Can be annoying if flow of traffic is faster but hey you can increase the level over the limit at which your warned or turn it off. Either way nice extra I haven't seen on coworkers GPS devices. For under $200, this is the best GPS on the market. Had one problem when first starting using it, in that the built in voice was speaking in french or when I had selected english, but I changed from one voice type to the generic and it fixed it, now they both work and no more problems. I would highly reccommend this GPS to anyone.
