Almond flour is simply ground blanched almonds and is an excellent alternative for baking as a wheat flour replacement as part of a low carb diet. The shipping weight on this product is listed as 3 lbs, but it is actually only a pound. So, it's basically $20/lb for almond flour with shipping. It's very nice flour, but at that price it's just not worth it.

This is the third type of almond flour that I've tried and it is the best by far. The other kinds produced a crumbly, clunky cookie and one left me with almond skins stuck in my teeth and gums.
Even though I can buy almond flour at my local grocery store, I order this kind because it is much finer than anything I can find around town.
The thing I like best about this company, though, is the customer service. I have very strict dietary limitations and I have called them several times to double check the ingredients in certain items. Even though I can tell they are busy, they always cheerfully answer my questions. It's a pleasure to do business with this kind of company.
